Our assessment reports cover activities of daily living/routines, handwriting, sensory assessment, visual motor, gross and fine motor skills along with recommendations. We use standardised and non-standardised assessment methods for our reports in order to provide in depth evidence based clinical recommendations.
Trained in Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI) therapy, we provide sensory integration therapy in schools and homes. These are provided by our Occupational Therapists who have completed postgraduate training in ASI and hold ASI practitioner status. Our Therapy assistant (Howard) is trained in rebound therapy and is able to deliver sessions in schools/sites with rebound facilities or rented spaces. These can be one off sessions or as a regular contract. Our Therapy assistant holds a level 2 Rebound Therapy trainer status. We also offer reduced day contracts with both our Therapy assistants to ensure Rebound Therapy includes a spotter.
Our Occupational Therapists provide assessment and intervention strategies to develop handwriting/mark making skills.
At Sensory Footsteps we provide a variety of different options for schools/services to contract Therapy services throughout the year
Our Therapy Assistant delivers all music sessions. These include:
- 1:1 music interaction sessions
-1-1 guitar lessons
-Bespoke group school sessions
At Sensory Footsteps we can provide intervention packages to support interoception awareness including 'The comprehensive assessment of interoception awareness' (Mahler) and the Interoception Curriculum (Mahler).
Self-regulation programmes aim to work with the child, teaching them ways to self-regulate through learning opportunities and strategies.
Sensory plans (aka sensory diets) can be written for children who may need specific input frequently throughout the day in order to organise and satisfy the sensory system
Sensory circuit plans are sessions set up for the child based on sensory assessment. Our occupational Therapists and Therapy assistant can deliver sensory circuits

We are also pleased to announce a permanent clinic location for Cornwall/Devon area in Launceston and local therapy support. Our Doncaster clinic continues to run as usual with our full time staff team.
